Average daily electricity consumption also dropped from 92.03 million units to 67.96 million units, a reduction of nearly 26.2 per cent.

On October 27, peak demand stood at 5,335mw at 7.38am, while consumption was 76.6426 million units. On October 28, demand was 4,624mw and consumption 66.5179 million units.

Weather conditions, temperature changes, agricultural requirements and industrial activity could influence electricity demand. However, identifying the main reasons for the decline would require a detailed assessment of consumption patterns across sectors.

The TGNPDCL figures indicate a substantial reduction in electricity demand and consumption during the final days of October compared to the corresponding period in September.
