Hyderabad: The Telangana Government is moving forward with a comprehensive action plan to conduct the Khelo India Youth Games to be held in the State from December 11 to 22, Sports Minister Vakiti Srihari said. The Minister conducted a review meeting at the Secretariat on Friday to assess preparations for the Games, including athlete selection, readiness of stadiums and sports venues, training programmes and other arrangements. Speaking on the occasion, he directed officials from all departments concerned to work in close coordination to ensure that the Games are organised in a prestigious and exemplary manner. The Minister stated that the government’s objective is to identify hidden sporting talent in rural areas and nurture athletes capable of excelling at the national level.
