Hyderabad: The schools across Telangana would remain closed from October 10 to 22 for 13 days in view of Dasara festival, according to the academic calendar. The schools would reopen on October 23.
Dasara is one of the most important festivals among all the festivals in Telangana. Those residing in Hyderabad would reach their hometown in other districts and celebrate the festival with fervor.
Coinciding with Dasara navaratri festivities, the people especially women take part in Bathukamma celebrations. To enable them to participate in the celebrations, holidays were declared for schools and colleges from October 10.
