Vijayawada:Chief Minister and Telugu Desam (TD) president N. Chandrababu Naidu’s call for a 45-day door-to-door public outreach campaign is yielding an encouraging response, with party cadres visiting nearly nine lakh households in the first four days of the Intintiki Telugu Desam-2026 programme.
The campaign, launched to showcase the state government’s achievements during its two years in office, continued successfully on its fourth day on Thursday. TD workers visited around 2.8 lakh households during the day, taking the cumulative total to nine lakh homes statewide.
Naidu recalled that the people had handed the alliance a historic mandate in the last assembly elections. The government was now “delivering people-centric governance by taking decisions based on public opinion and welfare priorities.”
The CM directed ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and party cadres to actively participate in the outreach programme and they are doing so.
Although the campaign could not be conducted in a few places due to the plans for inauguration of the Bhogapuram airport and rains in some parts of the state, party workers continued the programme enthusiastically in most regions.
Naidu also asked party workers to publicise the government’s initiatives for youth welfare and explain how, according to the coalition, the policies of the YSR Congress had adversely affected young people. He stressed that public support could not be won through money alone but by remaining accessible to the people and exposing the opposition’s policies.
TD leaders and activists met families to explain the government’s welfare measures and development initiatives, including programmes for public welfare, infrastructure development, farmer support, women’s empowerment and employment generation for youth. According to the party, the campaign has been receiving a positive response from the public.
The outreach drive has seen coordinated participation from state ministers, MLAs, assembly constituency in-charges and party leaders and workers at the state, district and mandal levels.
IT and HRD minister Nara Lokesh has been personally encouraging party cadres who have performed well in the campaign. He has been sending congratulatory SMS messages and making phone calls to several leaders and workers, boosting the morale of the party rank and file.
Lokesh urged party leaders and cadres to sustain the momentum in the coming days and ensure that every household is reached with information on the coalition government’s welfare and development initiatives during the 45-day campaign.
