Nellore:Tension prevailed near the Gudluru Mandal Parishad office in Kandukur constituency on Wednesday after YSRC in-charge Burra Madhusudhan Yadav arrived there amid allegations that party candidates were being prevented from filing nominations for the MPTC elections.
Madhusudhan Yadav reportedly entered into an argument with some police personnel, leading to a scuffle. This, after YSRC leaders questioned the alleged obstruction of their candidates from filing their nominations.
He accused the local police of acting at the behest of TD leaders and alleged that YSRC nomination papers were torn up by miscreants at some nomination centres. He complained to the district SP against the local SI.
Addressing the media, Madhusudhan Yadav blamed Kandukur MLA Inturi Nageswara Rao for the irregularities, claiming that YSRC candidates were being obstructed from filing nominations across all five mandals in the constituency.
Yadav said no YSRC candidate could file the nomination for even a single MPTC seat on the first day. He warned that around 200 YSRC supporters would accompany candidates to file nominations the following day.
