Tess Daly posted a series of glamorous new snaps as she returned to social media following the shock announcement she’s splitting from husband Vernon Kay. Last week, Tess and Vernon released a joint statement revealing they had separated after 25 years of marriage.
A week after the surprise news, Tess made her grand return to Instagram as she shared a series of behind-the-scenes pictures while filming a mystery project. Tess looked incredible as she posed in a black jumpsuit with sheer sleeves. Also visible in the pics were her dazzling diamond engagement ring and platinum wedding band.
The 57-year-old TV host captioned the snap: “The glam before the go”, as she was flooded with comments of support from her celebrity pals.

While Tess and Vernon’s shock announcement came as a huge surprise, it’s claimed the pair toasted the separation announcement with a glass of champagne.
In the joint statement, they wrote: “After much consideration, and with a deep sense of care and respect for one another, we have made the decision to separate amicably.
“This has not been an easy choice, but it comes from a place of mutual understanding and a shared desire of what is best for both of us. We remain great friends and, most importantly, fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents, which will always be our priority.”
To ward off speculation, the duo assured there are “no other parties involved” in their decision to split. “We kindly ask for privacy during this time. We will not be making any further public comments,” the statement concluded.
The last time Tess and Vernon were seen together publicly was in February of this year when the duo hosted an episode of The One Show together.
Despite choosing to end their marriage, the couple are still living together in the same property and are both eager to mark the next chapter in their lives.
A source close to the couple told The Mirror: “After they released the statement, Vernon and Tess took a moment to toast each other and their futures.
“They only want the best for each other and their family. There has been no big fallout, more a gradual growing apart and wanting different things.
“They have vowed to stay friends and to keep things classy when it comes to the split and any future interviews they give. They only want the best for each other.”
Tess and Vernon have been together since 2001, before getting engaged just one year later and marrying in September 2002.
Speaking about how they first met, Vernon said: “She didn’t know anyone except me because we had worked together that day – she spotted me in a crowd and we had a laugh.”
The 52-year-old said he was “instantly attracted” by Tess’s independence, and that hadn’t changed “at all” throughout their marriage.
