TGSPDCL CMD Jitesh V. Patil Leads “Walk Along The Line” Inspections, Orders Sweeping Monsoon Preparedness And Tree‑Trimming Drive In Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Southern discom Chairman and managing director Jitesh V. Patil on Monday conducted field inspections and review meetings across the Core Urban Region Economy (CURE) area as part of the utility’s statewide programme to ensure reliable power supply during the upcoming monsoon. The TGSPDCL also announced large‑scale tree‑trimming on 11 kV feeders across the GHMC area beginning Wednesday that will continue till the end of the month.

Patil inaugurated the walk‑along inspection at the 11 kV Venugopal Nagar feeder from the 33/11 kV Tirumalagiri substation in the Secunderabad circle, personally examining the condition of poles, conductors, insulators, distribution transformers and other line infrastructure. He directed officials to carry out comprehensive checks of all 33 kV substations, 33 kV and 11 kV feeders, distribution transformers (DTRs) and LT networks across the CURE region, and to identify and remedy faults that could cause interruptions.

Following the field inspection, Patil chaired monsoon preparedness reviews in the Medchal and Rangareddy zones, where officials assessed uninterrupted power supply plans, line clearances, feeder maintenance, transformer safety, tree‑trimming works and emergency response arrangements. Senior engineers and zone heads attended the meetings, including Dileep Kumar, P.V. Ramesh, Karunakar Babu, Chakrapani and Pandya Nayak.
