So he left it all behind, the city, the auditions, the dream, and headed to Rishikesh, where he chopped vegetables and washed dishes for a living, convinced his time in cinema had passed. He came back, and the performances were different. The same face that made us laugh in Office Office turned us silent in Masaan, Ankhon Dekhi, Kadvi Hawa, Kaamyaab and Vadh, films that revealed the depth behind the comic actor we thought we knew.
