Even WWE’s best Demon intentions can have some issues.
Finn Balor’s alter ego received one of its best presentations Friday on SmackDown. The Demon looked like a darn world beater, eating everything Gunther threw at him after rising off of Danhausen’s experiment table to defend his honor after the Ring General spoiled his Halloween party. The Demon delivering a Coup de Grace to Gunther off a ladder and through the announce table was an awesome spot and highlighted the difference in viciousness between the Demon and Balor. The rare fear in Gunther’s face when he saw the Demon was enough to sell the character to anyone who may not be familiar with it.
But man, I have some issues, even with this being the show before Halloween.
1. Why is the Demon the thing Danhausen has been cooking up for months with his experiments backstage when we already saw him fight Dominik Mysterio in a street fight at WrestleMania this year?
