The team behind Nani’s big-budget feature, The Paradise, is now sorted. It has secured official approval for ticket price revisions across Telangana, which includes the crucial territories of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Three days ahead of the theatrical release of the period action drama, the team has confirmed the roll-out of an unprecedented number of special previews ahead of the main release day (September 24).
Special rates for The Paradise premieres
Pre-release screenings will commence on the evening of September 23, with premium passes priced at up to Rs 500. This is the highest-ever for a Nani-starrer. None of his previous movies went in for this kind of special pricing for premieres. The Wednesday evening shows are expected to be in huge numbers across the Telugu States (the Andhra Pradesh rates are yet to be notified). If the response to the premieres is huge, the hikes will be justified in the eyes of the market. This will also boost Nani’s market potential for his subsequent films.
Graded rates approved up to Day 10
For the opening four-day run starting September 24, moviegoers will pay up to Rs 225 at single screens and up to Rs 390 at multiplexes. These admission rates include an added Rs 48 surge for single screens and an extra Rs 95 for multiplexes and special venues.
From Day 5 through Day 10, a different set of rates will apply. During this extended stretch, single-screen passes will cost up to Rs 200, while multiplex entries will drop to a maximum of Rs 340. The added surge reduces to Rs 23 for single screens and Rs 45 for multiplexes.
The Paradise, directed by Srikanth Odela, is set in 1984–85. A fictional community named the Savari tribe has been created for the purpose of the story. Their fight for survival drives the story. “Every detail, from the tattoos to the characters’ looks, is tied to the story for a reason,” Nani has said.
