New Manchester City boss Enzo Maresca is expecting to add to his squad before the end of the summer transfer window as he prepares for the Premier League season.
City have, of course, lost talismanic manager Pep Guardiola but also seen key players leave.
John Stones has signed for Inter, Bernardo Silva joined Real Madrid while Nathan Ake joined Turkish side Fenerbahce.
Goalkeeper James Trafford could also leave, while City have so far only signed Elliot Anderson for the first-team picture.
City face the K-League All-Stars in Seoul on Wednesday as part of their pre-season tour of Asia, and Maresca said before the game that he expects to see some new faces at the club soon.
“Fortunately this is a squad that doesn’t need to do many things,” he said.
“But at the same time, as we already know, the club lost important players in terms of experience like Bernardo [Silva], John [Stones] and Nathan [Ake]. For sure, there are things that we need to do.
“James [Trafford] is still a City player.
“There are things to do because the transfer window is open and when it’s open anything can happen.
“It’s just August and then from September when it closes it will be different.”
This season’s transfer window closes at 11pm UK time on Tuesday, 1 September.
City have been linked with breakout World Cup star Ayyoub Bouaddi as well as Pedro Neto from Maresca’s former club Chelsea.
Key midfielder Rodri has consistently been linked with a move to Real Madrid.
Italian Maresca, a former assistant to Guardiola at City, has signed a three-year deal at the Etihad, having won the Championship with Leciester and the Club World Cup and Conference League at Chelsea.
City lost to Inter Milan on penalties in Hong Kong last week.
