South Park Season 27/28 has been one of the most pointed, ruthless and politically incendiary collections of episodes in the show’s history, but one specific gag left us feeling muy mal for laughing.
On July 23rd, South Park came roaring back to TV with its first regular episode in over two years, the Season 27 premiere “Sermon on the ‘Mount,” an explicit indictment of President Donald “Saddam Hussein” Trump and the parent companies who appease him. Fresh off a particularly acrimonious contract renewal with Paramount, Parker and Stone made a point to go after their network as well as its new political buddies with repeated attacks on the conservative power structure that now controls/dismantles the United States of America.

According to certain crybabies in the White House, every single joke that Parker and Stone have made at the expense of the ruling party this year has been wildly inappropriate and in poor taste, but, for those of us who don’t have suspicious ties to pedophile human trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, one joke stuck out as hilarious, depressing and perfectly spot-on in its grossness:
In the episode “Got a Nut,” a newly fired Mr. Mackey joins ICE in order to make ends meet, quickly becoming the star of the agency under Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem and her melting, plastic, apparently sentient face-being. While Noem takes it upon herself to graphically murder every mutt, hound and puppy she sees, Mackey assists the controversial immigration enforcement force in rounding up brown-skinned Spanish-speaking people across both heaven and earth.
One such victim of Mackey’s nut-getting efforts is the beloved children’s language teacher Dora the Explorer. Just days after President Trump admitted that Epstein sourced one of his underaged human trafficking victims from the spa at Mar-a-Lago, Mackey visits the Florida resort and soon stumbles in on a crying Dora giving a massage to a creepy old spa guest.
Mackey eventually makes it out of Mar-a-Lago, rescuing young masterdebater Clyde Donovan in the process, but we never learned what happened to the, um, “spa employees” at Trump’s resort, and the implications of that scene haunt us to this day.
Now, there have been plenty of painfully graphic gags throughout South Park Season 27/28 – just in “Got a Nut,” the animators spared no effort in depicting Noem splattering puppy brains every time she graced the screen – but the suggestion that Trump would use ICE to sex-traffic an adorable children’s cartoon character to Mar-a-Lago is so horrific, so gross, and so utterly not totally disconnected from reality that this bit has to take the top prize for Most Inappropriate South Park Joke of 2025.
Unlike that rich, old, white guy at the Mar-a-Lago spa, there was no happy ending for poor Dora.
