Cat Deeley has turned 50-years-old today! As revealed on Thursday’s This Morning, she is celebrating with her two sons and a steak dinner. But what does life look like for the beloved presenter, as she enters the next decade of her life?
Cat and her co-host Ben Shephard have been on This Morning since 2024, replacing long-time hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield. As such, Monday-Thursday, Cat’s mornings consist of getting to the ITV studios to host the daytime show, interviewing guests, talking through the day’s news and taking calls from viewers.
Before being on This Morning, Cat was already a famous face, thanks to her modelling career and work on kids’ television. Back in the 1990s and early 2000s, she worked on SMTV Live with Ant and Dec, Stars in their Eyes and So You Think You Can Dance. Here’s what we know about her home life…

New romance
Cat married comedian Patrick Kielty in 2012. During their relationship, they had two sons, Milo, 10, and James, eight, but Cat and Patrick split in July 2025.
A year later, Cat was linked to Charlie Coleman, a senior marketing executive at Amazon MGM Studios, after the two were seen watching Lewis Capaldi perform at BST Hyde Park. The two were said to have been very affectionate with each other, but neither have confirmed their relationship.
Amid her rumoured romance, Cat and Patrick continue to co-parent their children together. At the time of their split, they both released a statement to emphasise that no third party was involved and that their focus remains on Milo and James. She added to The Sunday Times that she and Patrick are co-parenting “50-50”. She said: “It’s about being as organised as you can possibly be. I have an amazing nanny too,” as she added: “Everybody’s doing their best.”
She and Patrick had previously lived in California with their sons, but returned to the UK after a terrifying ordeal, in which Patrick and Milo were caught in a mall shooting. The father and son were at the Century City Mall in LA when FBI agents told shoppers to take cover because a shooter was on the loose. They were taken out through a fire exit and Cat later told You magazine how scared she was. She explained that she knew shootings happened in America but “the danger suddenly becomes a reality”.
House renovation
Following her split from Patrick, Cat moved to another home and began a huge renovation of her new property. In an interview with Closer, she revealed how the project was going: “I’m doing a big renovation, which is a massive project, and my brother is helping me do it.”
She added: “I like doing things that scare me a little bit. I always feel like if an opportunity comes up or there’s something life-changing that you want to do, if you feel a little bit scared and you’re approaching it with a little trepidation, then you should probably do it.”
The home Cat shared with Patrick also went under a huge redevelopment. The couple reportedly paid £4.9million for the 1950s property in Hampstead, which was derelict when they bought it, and planned to turn it into their forever home.
Documenting the renovation online, Cat showed that they had created an entrance hall, removed the mezzanine in the living room and expanded the bedrooms. The renovation was put on hold when the couple decided to split and the home has now been listed for £5million.
50th birthday celebrations
Cat shared what she was doing for her birthday on This Morning yesterday, beginning with celebrating another famous star’s birthday She said: “Tonight I’m going to the theatre because it’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s birthday, actually and all his family are over. So I’m going to see True and then take him out for his birthday.”
She then added that there would be a small family celebration, followed by a girls’ trip away: “Boys, family. We’re actually doing steak so yes, yes, yes. We’re going to do dinner there and then girls’ trip to Ibiza just for a few days.”
