Selections based on a good track.
Race 1
1. Indigo Star is fourth-up from a spell and finding good rhythm. He has been placed in the latest two, with a second at this track being followed by a third at Warwick Farm when hitting the line well enough. He steps up in distance and looks perfectly placed to break through. 4. My Country Boy ran well when a resuming third at Newcastle and followed that up with a fourth at Kembla Grange when beaten less than half a length. He has drawn the inside here and should take plenty of beating. 9. All Too Clever was first-up from a spell when she finished fourth at Newcastle and should be improved by that run. 2. Orange Tsunami has been placed in his past two starts and warrants thought.
How to play it: Indigo Star to win.
Race 2
1. Sono Immortale raced on the speed in his debut at Hawkesbury and he battled on strongly to finish a close second. He should have benefitted from the experience and can go one better in this. 5. Commanche Chief has been placed in both trials leading into this event and bears close watching on debut. 7. Classic Two was midfield at this track when last produced and has place claims.
