Veteran wide receiver Nikko Remigio was listed as questionable on the Kansas City Chiefs‘ final injury report ahead of the team’s Week 9 matchup against the New York Jets at Arrowhead Stadium.
While Remigio is listed as a wide receiver, the former California Golden Bear and Fresno State Bulldog usually takes the field as Kansas City’s top punt and kick returner.

After starting the week as a limited participant in practice on Wednesday due to a hip injury, Remigio graduated to full participation in drills on Thursday and Friday, but has nevertheless been assigned a game status designation of “questionable.”
If the Chiefs’ coaching staff ultimately decides that Remigio is unfit to play against New York in Week 9, Kansas City will have rookie running back Emmett Johnson available to take over the Super Bowl LVIII champion’s duties on Dave Toub’s special teams unit during the highly anticipated AFC showdown.
