The Only Way is Esssex star Jake Hall had a child with Misse Beqiri, from the Real Housewives of Cheshire, and dated fellow ITV star Chloe Lewis
Jake Hall, best known for appearing on the reality TV series The Only Way is Essex, has died at the age of 35 after he was found with fatal head wounds thought to have been caused by shards of glass.
The Towie star, was on holiday in Spain when he died after smashing into a glass door in a tragic accident in Majorca. Hall was found in a pool of blood with head wounds, caused by shards of glass. It’s claimed that he had been out partying and decided to carry on the night at his rented property. It is thought that the star was in Majorca with his daughter, River, and had been spending time with his family before his death.
Hall first came to fame in 2015 when he joined the cast of Towie, and has been in a couple of high profile relationships in the past few years.
Relationship with Chloe Lewis
Hall arrived on the reality TV show as the friend of Vas J Morgan and Chloe Lewis’ ex-boyfriend who she dated on and off since childhood . His first storylines concerned him causing a ruckus after kissing Lauren Pope on a night out.
Chloe and Hall were childhood sweethearts and on and off for several years, in 2016 they were snapped enjoying several high end holidays, but things came crashing down for a final time by the end of 2016. They eventually split amid claims he cheated with Megan McKenna – claims he always denied.
After a short stint on the show, with many storylines focused on his relationship with Chloe, he left a year later in 2016 to focus on his clothing brand Prevu – the fashion brand has since going into administration.
Relationship with Missé Beqiri
The same year he left Towie, he broke up with Chloe and moved on with Real Housewives of Cheshire star Missé Beqiri. The couple got engaged in October 2016 and welcomed their daughter River just over a year later in November 2017. By May 2018, they were engaged, but just months later, he was hit with a restraining order.
It was reported that the pair became embroiled in a heated row, which their neighbours overheard. The pair went on to split following a string of tense rows. The couple stayed together but quietly split in 2021 reportedly after a series of rows.
At the time, a source told The Sun, ‘Jake and Missé had a perfect relationship to start with but things started being quite rocky between them. Their bond was tested after a series of difficult situations, including the tragic death of her beloved brother Flamur.
‘It’s been really tough for them both and they struggled to make it work. Missé has now moved into a new house and they are working hard to keep things as normal as possible for their daughter.’
Ahead of his death he shared several posts about his daughter. One pinned post from 2025 lamented that he didn’t get to spend as much time with her as he wished: “Putting this up again – My heart hurts not having you next to me daily but – we will conquer the world kid with good vibes and believing you can do absolutely anything you set your mind to – NEVER GIVE UP DAD – BOOOOM”
Just two days ahead of his death, he shared snaps of himself spending time with his daughter on the holiday, “My world – my world ! My world,” he captioned the post.
In 2025, he said that his daughter helped to bring him out of a “very low point”. He told the Daily Star: “If I’m honest, River is the reason I’m here today,” he said. “She’s amazing, and we’ve got an incredible relationship. It was the part that hurt most when I lost Prévu. I lost something that was for her, everything I do is for her and her future.”
Cheated death
Almost exactly ten years ago, Jake Hall cheated death after a night out in Spain.
The then 25-year-old was stabbed in the back in a nightclub attack in Marbella. He was caught up in a fight between two rival gangs while on a night out with pals. Jake was rushed to hospital, where he stayed for six weeks, and almost lost a kidney.
Speaking during his recovery, the star warned “Can’t get rid of me that easily.” When he arrived back in the UK, Jake showed off the scar on his back that he carried from the stabbing.
In an emotional post he told fans to ‘enjoy life to the full.’
Career and fashion brand
Professionally, Jake has worked as a musician and a fashion designer in the past few years. In 2023, Jake joined a band called Yours Collective and they released their first single Calling that March. The same year he also launched his clothing brand, By Jake Hall in April 2023.
He told Drapers at the time that the brand had given him a “new lease of life” and explained why he was inspired by Mallorca, after being raised there since he was a child.
“To launch By Jake Hall’s first collection, I might go back to Mallorca to shoot a campaign – I was brought up there [from the age of 12]. I lived there for 15 years and it is sort of my happy place. I get a lot of get a lot of inspiration from Majorca: the off-whites, the sand colours, the navy of the sea – it all brought back fond memories and got me out of a really dark place.”
In the same interview, he said that life wasn’t always “plain sailing” and he hoped to learn from his mistakes: “I want to show the younger generation of designers that life isn’t always just plain-sailing and perfect in every way. Things happen and it’s all about how you bounce back – that’s my message. Hopefully, I can come back with a bang and one day help young people learn from my mistakes.”
He also revealed how hard he was hit when his first fashion business went into administration: “[The sale and administration were] hard to deal with, it was really tough. I didn’t really know where I stood. It was a really tough time for my mental health and caused a lot of stress, worry and disappointment, and I think the best way to come back from something like that is to bounce back. I don’t want to dwell on sadness – I want to think about the positives and try to move forward.”
