Indore: A viral video allegedly showing a loco pilot carrying samosas from a small eatery beside the railway tracks has triggered a probe by the Railways.

According to reports, the Indore–Mhow DEMU train was stopped near the eatery, following which the loco pilot was seen purchasing samosas. The train reportedly resumed its journey only after the loco pilot returned to the cabin.

Locals claimed that the train frequently halts at the same spot for a few minutes, resulting in delays of around 10 minutes on several occasions.

As the video went viral on social media, Railway authorities took note of the incident and ordered an inquiry. Officials said strict action would be taken if it is found that the train was halted without any operational requirement and solely to allow the loco pilot to buy samosas.
