Trisha Krishnan reveals how she bonded with Vijay after their first film
Trisha Krishnan and Thalapathy Vijay’s bond has always garnered attention since they made their on-screen debut together in the film Ghilli. In a throwback interview with IndiaGlitz Tamil, Trisha spoke about Vijay and admitted that when they started working together, they didn’t share a great bond because of his reserved nature.
In the same interaction, Trisha revealed that Vijay is a very reserved person who minded his own business during the shooting. She recalled how he would come onto the set, do his work quietly, and leave. However, it is the team of Ghilli, because of whom she and Vijay became great friends.
Trisha Krishnan admitted that Vijay will always be ‘special’ for her
Going further in the interview, Trisha heaped praises on Vijay and hailed him for his professionalism. Calling him ‘kind and gracious’, she revealed why he was special to her and said:
“Vijay is amazing. Vijay is a person who will always (be) very special to me because he was the co-star with whom I have given the biggest hits… I’ve never seen him lose his cool. He’s so professional on set, he does his work, completes his task, and he’s someone who you always look back and say that one person I’ll always be fond of. He’s one of them.”
Trisha Krishnan once called Vijay her ‘home’
Trisha and Vijay returned to the screen after a 15-year gap with their film, Leo. During the film’s press conference, Trisha revealed how she felt about working with Vijay after a long break. The actress stated that she felt like meeting a friend, as the comfort felt like ‘home’. In her words:

“Vijay.. It was like meeting a school friend again after long time. There was the same comfort, love, and friendship. In my 20-year career, the most long-term journey I had with a co-star was with Vijay. They say home is not a place, but a person.”

The pair then went on to act in films like Aathi, Thirupachi, and Kuruvi. They were the hit pair of the South Indian film industry. But soon, rumours of their affair made their way to the headlines.
