Turkish singer-songwriter Tan Taşçı is using his 2026 concert tour to raise awareness about animal rights and veganism.
During his stadium concerts, Taşçı pauses the show to play a five-minute video encouraging audiences to think about how animals are treated. And how everyday choices humans make affect animals.
According to the Vegan Association of Türkiye (TVD), the video has already been shown to more than 85,000 people during two concerts at Istanbul’s BJK Tüpraş Stadium. More concerts are planned across Türkiye and abroad later this year.
The video was created by Taşçı and visually designed by Alev Sezer. After being shared on Instagram by both Taşçı and the TVD, it received more than 400,000 views within its first day online. Supporters also shared the video widely on social media.
Encouraging people to think about animals
The video asks viewers to consider that animals experience emotions such as fear, happiness, trust and love.
It also encourages people to think about the lives of animals used for food. It points out that many farm animals never live out their natural lives or stay with their babies for long.
The video ends with a “Go Vegan” message, encouraging people to consider a vegan lifestyle.
Long-time animal advocate
Tan Taşçı is one of Türkiye’s best-known singers and has supported animal rights campaigns for several years.
He has worked with the TVD on campaigns against hunting. He has also supported rescue efforts for animals affected by the devastating earthquakes that struck Türkiye in 2023.
His latest concert tour continues throughout 2026, with thousands more fans expected to watch the animal rights video during upcoming performances.
