Ahead of the counting of votes, unidentified miscreants reportedly set on fire the election office of Vijay-led Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) near Trichy in Srirangam Assembly constituency. TVK candidate Ramesh’s office was attacked by the miscreants.
A complaint has been filed at the local police station and the party sought action against the guilty.
Actor-politician Vijay’s TVK had contested the elections held for the 234-seat Assembly on April 23. Counting of votes will take place on May 4.
