Indian model and actress, Twisha Sharma’s death has garnered nationwide attention. Twisha was a 33-year-old Noida-based professional who was found deceased on May 12, 2026, in her marital home in Bhopal’s Katara Hills. The reason for her death was reported as suicide, but was contested by the bereaved family. They alleged severe dowry harassment, physical and mental torment by Twisha’s husband, Samarth Singh and her in-laws as the reason for her untimely demise. As Samarth was detained by the police for questioning, he revealed previously unknown details about their final moments together.

Twisha Sharma‘s husband was questioned for about 10 hours by the investigators in connection with his wife’s death. During that time, Samarth Sharma was asked how he met her and about their relationship from the start of their marriage until her death. At that time, he recalled that they spent time together on the day of Twisha’s death, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary to him. He mentioned the duo did their usual stuff, going to the gym, having a meal, and even taking a walk together. However, the investigators are verifying Samarth’s revelation by reviewing CCTV footage, call records, WhatsApp messages, medical documents, and witness statements.

During his interrogation, Samarth Singh alleged that Twisha suffered from bipolar disorder. He claimed her behaviour shifted abruptly, which caused her emotional distress. He claimed that a doctor diagnosed Twisha with an “adjustment disorder” and allegedly revealed that it was the reason for her sudden mood shifts linked to her pregnancy. Samarth alleged that he saw a drastic change in Twisha’s behaviour and communication style after knowing that she was expecting.
The police asked Samarth whether Twisha’s family had been informed about her alleged psychiatric treatment. They wanted to know when the treatment started and what circumstances made it necessary for a woman to see a psychiatrist within just a few months of marriage. The inquisition regarding Twisha Sharma’s mental health led to the topic of Samarth making her take sleeping pills. According to NDTV, he admitted to doing so, but only on the doctor’s advice. According to him, the pills were necessary for her stress management.

According to NDTV, Twisha and Samarth were scheduled to travel to Bangalore on April 24, 2026. However, he claimed that she suddenly refused to go to Bengaluru and instead insisted on going to Ajmer to see her brother, Harshit Sharma. The change of mind allegedly occurred a week before the trip was supposed to take place. The reason for the plan cancellation is that she learned on April 17, 2026, that she was pregnant. Twisha ultimately could not go to Ajmer to see her brother as she was found dead on May 12, 2026, just three days before the planned trip.

Samarth Singh revealed that Twisha’s shift in travel plans from Bangalore to Ajmer led to a major argument between them. Her family alleged that Samarth and her mother-in-law, Giribala Singh refused to let her go to see her brother, leading to mental torment for Twisha. An official confirmed Twisha’s Ajmer visit plans and stated:
“She was scheduled to travel to Ajmer on May 15, where her brother, Major Harshit Sharma, is posted. We are examining why she took such an extreme step despite having travel plans.”
