The death case of Twisha Sharma has sent shockwaves throughout the nation. The former Miss Pune reportedly committed suicide on May 12, 2026. In her last moments, Twisha pleaded with her parents to take her away as nothing was going well in her marriage to criminal lawyer, Samarth Singh. However, Samarth had been absconding for the last 10 days and surrendered on May 22, 2026, in Jabalpur Court. According to the latest reports, Twisha’s husband was helped by someone to stay hidden.

Twisha Sharma’s husband, Samarth Singh, will be questioned about his whereabouts during the days in hiding

Bhopal police have been tracking all those who reportedly helped the former Miss Pune, Twisha Sharma’s husband, Samarth Singh, remain in hiding for the last 10 days. Both Samarth and his mother, Giribala Singh, were booked in connection with Twisha’s alleged dowry death on May 12, 2026. Confirming that someone helped Twisha’s husband, Samarth, to stay hidden, Bhopal Police Commissioner, Sanjay Kumar, shared with the media, on May 23, 2026, that during the police remand, Samarth would be questioned about his whereabouts during the days in hiding. He added that based on Samarth’s statement, those who helped him would be identified. In his words:

“During the police remand, he (Samarth) will also be questioned as to where he was hiding in the last few days. Based on his replies and their verification, those who helped him stay in hiding, will be identified. Legal action will be initiated against those persons subsequently.”

Young advocate, Shubhank Dixit, who is part of Twisha Sharma’s father’s legal team, made some shocking claims on May 23, 2026. Shubhank shared that Twisha’s husband, Samarth and her mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, have close connections with powerful and influential figures in the administration, police and judiciary of MP. This fact has been revealed by the mother-son duo’s CDR submitted by their legal team before the local court recently. Thus, it needs to be probed who all helped Samarth to stay underground for 7 to 10 days. Shubhank was quoted as saying:

“Samarth and his ex-judge mother have close contacts with powerful and influential people in the administration, police and judiciary of MP. This has been revealed by the duo’s CDR submitted by their legal team before the local court recently. In such a case, it needs to be probed who all helped Samarth to be in hiding for 7-10 days. It’s possible that those forming part of official machinery in MP might have helped him be in hiding for so many days.”

According to Shubhank, it is possible that some government officials or staff members may have helped Samarth to avoid arrest and if it’s proved, then strict action should be taken against those. Shubhank highlighted that during the time when Samarth was absconding, he might have destroyed some key evidence related to the case. So all those who helped him to stay hidden need to be identified and treated as co-accused in the case. Shubhank was quoted as saying:

“It’s essential to find all those individuals and act particularly against those who are found to be government staffers/officials. While being in hiding, it’s possible that Samarth might have destroyed critical evidence of the crime. So all those who helped them stay in hiding need to be identified and booked as co-accused for criminal conspiracy and crime with common intent.”
