Two Arrested In Burglary Case, Rs 15.25 lakh Property Recovered

Tirupati: Chittoor taluka police on Friday arrested two persons in connection with a house burglary reported in Indiramma Colony under Murakambattu limits and recovered stolen property worth Rs 15.25 lakh.

According to DSP J. Venkata Narayana, the burglary took place on April 24, 2026, at the residence of C. Balaji. The accused broke open the main door, entered the house, and forced open a bedroom cupboard before fleeing with valuables.

Following registration of the case, special teams were formed on the directions of Superintendent of Police Tushar Dudi. The investigation was supervised by Additional SP Dr Tarun Pahwa and DSP Venkata Narayana, while Circle Inspector K. Ramachandra led the teams.

Police used technical evidence and field intelligence to trace the suspects. The accused were arrested at around 10.30 am on Friday near Penumuru Cross in Chittoor mandal.

They were identified as N. Ram Anjaneyulu (27), a native of Dharmavaram currently residing in Tirupati, and R. Noorullah (29) from Renigunta mandal. Police said Anjaneyulu is a habitual offender involved in multiple burglary cases, while Noorullah assisted by providing a vehicle.

Police recovered gold ornaments weighing about 100.71 grams, silver articles of 119.5 grams, Rs 1 lakh in cash, and a motorcycle used in the offence.
