Kadapa:Two more police officials have been shifted to the Vacant Reserve (VR) following allegations of misdirecting the investigation into a recent murder case.
Chinnachowk Circle Inspector Obulesu and Sub-Inspector Rajarajeswara Reddy were transferred to VR by Kurnool Range DIG Koya Praveen. The action was taken in connection with the murder of Peddadastagiri at Alankhanpalli, where police were accused of failing to arrest the accused and allegedly diverting the case. Earlier, Taluk CI Reddappa was also sent to VR in the same case. Five days ago, Kadapa DSP Venkateswarlu was transferred over alleged lapses linked to the murder investigation. With the latest action, a total of four police personnel have faced disciplinary measures in connection with the case so far.
Meanwhile, SI Rajarajeswara Reddy is also reportedly facing multiple allegations of corruption. Claims have surfaced that he was involved in mediating settlements and allegedly passing on money to higher officials. However, these allegations are yet to be officially confirmed.
