Anakapalle: Two workers lost their lives in a fire accident at Dakshina Energy Company located in Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City in Anakapalle in the early hours of Tuesday.
According to officials, the fire broke out suddenly at the industrial unit, leading to panic among workers on the premises. Fire safety teams rushed to the spot immediately after receiving information, along with police personnel and district authorities.
Rescue operations were launched to bring the situation under control and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby units. The blaze was later contained after sustained efforts by emergency teams.
The bodies of the deceased workers were recovered from the site, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the cause of the fire. Officials are also examining whether safety protocols were followed at the facility.
