U.S. Open final qualifying 2026: Scores, host sites, notable players

It’s “Golf’s Longest Day,” though if we’re being honest, we wish it were longer. 

It’s not that we’re cruel. Monday’s final qualifying for the U.S. Open has earned the adjective “long” — across 10 sites, players will play 36 holes in hopes of earning a spot in the big dance, which starts Thursday, June 18 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club on Long Island, N.Y. It’s a grind, no doubt.

Thing is, for those of us watching, it’s colorful. The winners and non-winners. And stories, happy and not happy, from names you’ve probably heard of — Max Homa, Tony Finau, Billy Horschel and Matt Kuchar, among others — and from players who may be unheralded. And hey, it’s golf on a Monday. Golf Channel will broadcast the tournaments from noon to 2 p.m. ET, and from 4 p.m. to midnight ET.
