Saturdays singer, Una Healy, denied being in a ‘throuple’ with I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! star, David Haye and his girlfriend, Sian Osborne, in 2023

Una Healy reckons her relationship with I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! star, David Haye taught her a valuable life lesson. In 2023, The Saturdays star, 44, was accused of being in a three-way relationship or ‘throuple’ with the boxer, 45, and his girlfriend, Sian Osbourne.

Talking to The Sun, Una denied she was ever part of a three-way relationship with the boxer, claiming the rumours surrounding her made her realise what she won’t tolerate. Admitting she hasn’t had the “best track record” when it comes to romance, she said: “I’ve moved on so long ago from all that.”

Insisting she now has “non-negotiables”, she continued: “You live and learn in life. I think that I’ve learned now what I don’t want and I’m going to have my non-negotiables, what I will not tolerate or put up with. I don’t want to do the whole situationship thing. I’ve done that, I tried that. It’s not very fulfilling. I’ve actually written a song about it.”

Rumours escalated that Una was part of a ‘throuple’ with model, Sian, and David after a picture of the three of them on holiday was shared – an image Una reportedly finds upsetting.

Former boxer David hinted that he had a polyamorous relationship in a Valentine’s Day post on Instagram back in 2023, in which he paid tribute to the “queens in my life”.

He also said he preferred to keep his “private life private”, adding: “What I do behind closed doors is between me and the girls involved”. But later that year Una admitted she had been in a relationship with David, but felt “hoodwinked” into the situation, insisting she and Sian were never involved romantically with one another.

After the picture went viral three years ago, Una announced she was single. All trace of David was removed from her social media. She also told the Irish Mirror: “I am single and raising my two children, just like many other single parents – both men and women – doing a great job.”

Una said she first met David on the celebrity dating app Raya. He told her he was single but that he “didn’t believe the traditional relationship exists anymore”.

The mum-of-two, who was married to Ben Foden, admitted she was hesitant at first, but ended up going on a few dates with him. Talking to Vogue Williams and Joanne McNally’s on their podcast, My Therapist Ghosted Me, she insisted it was never a ‘throuple’, saying: “It was casual, it wasn’t serious. I was happy enough with it. It was in a romantic capacity.

“He was very honest that I wasn’t the only woman he was seeing, I was very aware he was seeing other people. I knew he was being honest and it’s not like I was being cheated on. I knew he wasn’t husband material, just a bit of fun and I was enjoying it.”

Ruling out the throuple claims, she explained: “He doesn’t label, he’s never called her his girlfriend, he’s open, polyamorous. So I did meet [Sian] and she was a really nice girl but there was nothing going on there so it wasn’t a throuple. I wasn’t romantic with her, I don’t really know her.”

Fellow I’m A Celeb star, Helen Flanagan, recently opened up about her own relationship with David, saying she had to Google what the word throuple even meant.

In her autobiography, Helen made it clear that she was not interested in dating both of them. She said: “I’m not a prude, but I’ve never been into that – it was David I liked.” The two broke up in December 2023.
