BENGALURU: Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Steel and former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy on Tuesday said to wage a war against the ruling Congress government in Karnataka and “Vijayadashmi is the right time.” Vijayadashami falls on October 21 and Hindus celebrate the day as victory of good over evil.
Kumaraswamy, at a press conference in Bengaluru, said “There is no need to rush. I will release all the documentary evidence at an appropriate time.” Regarding his display of a pen drive at Vidhana Soudha, a couple of years back, Kumaraswamy said “I had displayed a pen drive in front of Vidhana Soudha. It contained evidence related to bribery and conversations about money collection. The information in that pen drive related to the alleged corruption of the incumbent Chief Minister (D.K. Shivakumar).”
On D.K. Shivakumar completing 100 days in office, Kumaraswamy said “They have spent knocking the doors of the high command in New Delhi than sitting at Vidhana Soudha and running the Government.
Regarding his brother’s son Prajwal Revanna, a former Member of Parliament, convicted in a rape case and lodged in Central Prison, Bengaluru, Kumaraswamy alleged the news of Prajwal Revanna using a smartphone, access to explicit videos sitting at the cell in the high security zone of the Prison “a planted story” and stated “It has been two years there was no talk on use of phone but the moment Bidadi Township project, recruitment irregularities ion KPSC exposed, “all of a sudden, a mobile phone story comes out.”
Kumaraswamy questioned how a smartphone and alleged obscene materials could have reached a prison inside the high security zone of the Prison. He wanted to know “Who gave him the obscene materials” How did it enter the prison” and “Who provided the mobile phone?” The Union Minister wanted answers from the State Government.
