ANANTAPUR: Three students from rural government institutions supported by Vadaanya Foundation have secured all India ranks in the JEE Main 2026.

The foundation had been set up by Hyderabad-based software engineer Ashok Padapati to provide free coaching for students from rural government schools. Ashok himself is conducting a Vadaanya Talent Test at Kothacheruvu to identify and prepare students for entrance exams related to higher education.

Jugesh Kumar of Dharmavaram secured an AIR (all-India rank) of 377 and category rank of 58. His father Gopal Krishna works as a handloom weaver. Jugesh had been the topper of the 2022 Vadaanya Talent Test. He scored 992 marks in Intermediate and hopes to secure admission into a top IIT.

Thulasi Karthik, also from Dharmavaram, is the son of Narayanaswamy, another handloom weaver. He scored 984 marks in Intermediate. He aims to start his own company and generate employment.

Yaswanth Kumar Reddy from Indlavenkatampalli village near Kothacheruvu scored 990 marks in Intermediate. He aspires to join a leading software company and support his family.

Ashok Padapati said it is a proud moment for the foundation and its supporters, as nearly 15 lakh students had appeared for JEE Main this year. “Talent is everywhere. With the right support, students can reach top institutions,” he maintained.

All the three students have studied in government schools up to Class 10 and come from families with monthly incomes below ₹15,000.

Vadaanya Foundation has been working in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for 15 years. It plans to expand the Vadaanya Talent Test to more districts from 2027.
