Hyderabad: Hyderabad City Police Commissioner V.C.Sajjanar praised the family of a 39-year-old man who saved four lives through organ donation after his death.
Mekala Muthyalu, a lorry driver from Nalgonda district, suffered from high blood pressure and was declared brain-dead while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad.
His wife, Sudha, consented to donate his organs, including his heart, lungs and both kidneys. The organs were transplanted into four patients, giving them a new life.
Sajjanar lauded the family’s selfless gesture, stating that their decision had helped save four lives.
