Vida Aljada opens in Sharjah as the emirate’s newest five-star lifestyle address

Set in the Naseej District of Aljada, around five minutes by car from Sharjah International Airport, Vida Aljada opened this September as the first Vida hotel in the emirate, with Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Arada, attending the official opening and touring the property. Developed by Arada and operated by Emaar Hospitality Group under its Vida Hotels and Resorts brand, the five-star lifestyle hotel brings 175 rooms and suites to Sharjah’s creative district, and its lobby, with high ceilings, natural light and a soft palette of cream and stone warmed by terracotta, sets the relaxed, contemporary tone that carries through the rest of the building.

Guests can choose between Deluxe King and Twin rooms and Premier Suites, all with floor-to-ceiling windows and bright interiors, while the 305 square metre Penthouse Suite, which has three bedrooms, a majlis and a private pool, sits at the top of the offering for those who want considerably more space. Longer stays are catered for in the neighbouring serviced apartments, which come in one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts, and the hotel’s location close to University City and Sharjah Airport Free Zone makes it a practical base for business travellers as well as for families spending a weekend away from Dubai.

The leisure facilities are built around the pool deck, where a main pool for adults and dedicated kids’ pools share space with Flo, a poolside terrace serving light bites, drinks and mocktails, and children are looked after at the Qix Club Play Area, which welcomes ages four to 12. Adults can book treatments in the spa’s treatment rooms before settling into the relaxation lounge, and a fitness centre that never closes keeps early risers and late arrivals equally well served.

Dining has been planned as a connected experience that moves from the first coffee of the morning to a late dinner, beginning at Stage2, the café at the heart of the lobby, and continuing through Origins, the all-day restaurant serving globally inspired dishes, and True Slice, a pizzeria known for fire-baked flatbreads and balanced bowls that is open from noon until 11pm. Corporate guests have meeting rooms, breakout spaces and a multifunction venue at their disposal, and the hotel also offers paperless touches such as digital in-room controls for housekeeping requests and Do Not Disturb.
