Violent clashes erupted across France Saturday evening, with rioters throwing what appeared to be Molotov cocktails at Paris police which injured several officers – while in Lyon US and Israeli flags were set on fire.

The protests in Paris, which drew at least 70,000 people, exploded after the march reached its end point, with police attempting to disperse the crowd with tear gas and protesters responding by tossing projectiles at them.

In Lyon, militants burned an American and Israeli flag on the roof tram shelter, as the march passed by, according to Actu Lyon.

And in Bordeaux, a pinata of French President Emmanuel Macron was savagely attacked with a sword as the crowd cheered, Frontieres reported.
