Visakhapatnam: Retired Central GST Commissioner P. Anand Kumar was kidnapped at the Madhurawada–Rushikonda IT SEZ junction in Visakhapatnam.
According to reports, the accused abducted Anand Kumar while he was travelling in his car. They later abandoned his driver and assistant at Marikavalasa and took Anand Kumar away.
The police launched an investigation after receiving complaints from the victim’s driver and wife.
The police subsequently traced Anand Kumar to Visalakshinagar, rescued him and arrested nine people in connection with the kidnapping.
