Vizag Economic Region Office Opened In VMRDA Complex

Visakhapatnam: The newly established Visakhapatnam Economic Region (VER) has commenced its operations from its temporary office located within the VMRDA complex.

The opening of Visakhapatnam Economic Region office is a significant milestone in the starting of three economic regions announced by the NITI Aayog.

Key officials attended the event, including VER deputy CEO and Metropolitan Commissioner N. Tej Bharat, GVMC commissioner Ketan Garg, additional Commissioner Datla Keerthi, OSD Krishna Naik, secretary Murali Krishna, chief engineer Vinay Kumar, chief statistical officer Hari Prasad, and chief planning officer Divya Latha. Staff members from various departments also participated in the event, reflecting the collaborative approach envisioned for the region’s development.

On the occasion, Pranav Gopal stated, “The inauguration of VER office signals the beginning of coordinated efforts to transform Visakhapatnam into a major economic hub. The office is expected to play a central role in driving investments and planning and execution of projects across the region, as envisioned by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.”
