Vogue shared the “exciting” news as she prepared to return from Spain, following a family break with her husband, Spencer Matthews, and their three children, Theodore, Gigi and Otto
Vogue Williams has revealed that she’s landed a “dream” job temporarily replacing Amanda Holden on a national show. Vogue shared the news as she prepared to fly back from Spain, following a family break with her husband, Spencer Matthews, and their three children, Theodore, Gigi and Otto.
As sad as it can be to end a holiday, Vogue said it was “time” to head home as she was returning to a “very exciting” new opportunity. She explained that she was set to cover for the “lovely” Amanda on a popular radio show.
Speaking to Joanne McNally on the July 31 episode of My Therapist Ghosted Me, Vogue announced she’ll be joining Jamie Theakston on Heart Breakfast – and said she “can’t wait”.
She said: “It is time because I have a very exciting job that I’m doing for the next couple of weeks. I am gonna be covering for the lovely Amanda Holden on Heart Breakfast. Me and Jamie, yeah. I can’t wait.”
Vogue was full of praise for her new co-host, saying he was “so good at radio”. She also revealed she’d wanted to cover for Amanda for “ages”, adding that she’d taken part in a pilot.
She said: “And you know when you sit with somebody and you’re like, ‘Gosh, you’re just so good at your job?’ Like, it’s just, it’s really fun to watch someone like that, so I’m excited to be a learning curve.
“I said I’m kinda up for everything because I think it’s all really great craic. And I love going on Heart Breakfast, so I’m excited to just be there for the whole thing.”
Joanne pointed out that Vogue also enjoys early mornings. Vogue replied: “I love an early…it’s just the dream. Like, up at about half five, home at half 11. Yes, please!”
It seems Joanne isn’t such a fan of early rises, though, as she joked she’d rather “peel” herself with a machete or even “gouge” her eyes out with a spoon. Vogue suggested she’s more of a “drivetime gal”.
It comes after Vogue shed light on what she described as a “grave mistake” with her family. Her remarks emerged during a chat with her sister, Amber, about parenting and how it’s not always the “idyllic” picture reflected on social media.
Speaking about her kids, she shared: “When you think the heat gets to you, you have to remember how much it gets to them and their little bodies and how, like, they’re just tired and worn out.
“They all skipped into camp today and I said, because we collect them early every day, because we’re like, ‘Oh, bring them to the beach. They can come and they can chill with us at the beach.
“‘We’ll get a few hours off in the morning. I can get my work done. We can all relax. We can make our way, like, around the place, do the shopping, get all those kind of bits done, and then we’ll collect them.'”
She added: “We took them out of camp yesterday for the whole day. And obviously, that was a grave mistake.”
