Nathan Sykes and wife Charlotte have revealed they are having a baby and shared the sweet news in an adorable Instagram update
Nathan Sykes has revealed he is to become a dad for the first time. The former The Wanted star shared a sweet update with his wife Charlotte Sykes in a joint Instagram post.
Charlotte captioned the post: “We’ve been keeping a little secret… Baby Sykes is officially on the way,” and included a white love heart emoji.
The couple shared a series of snaps alongside the update, including Nathan beaming as he presses his ear to his wife’s growing baby bump. There are also prints of their baby scan as they confirm their child is “arriving April 2027”.
Followers quickly shared their excitement in the comments section. One user gushed: “i am absolutely SOBBING. Congratulations to you both! the most luckiest little bubs in the whole entire world.”
Another added: “OMG CONGRATULATIONS!!!! So beyond happy for you both! You’re gonna be the worlds best parents.”And a third wrote: “So excited baby Nath having a baby congratulations so you both.”
The pair tied the knot last year in a fairytale wedding in North Yorkshire. Reflecting on the moment he first glimpsed his wife-to-be, The Wanted star Nathan, said: “It was breathtaking. Clair De Lune by Debussy was playing and Char was silhouetted in the doorway of the church with her dad — it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.
“The light was coming from behind her, through her veil. I was like, ‘Oh my God!’” Speaking to OK! in their first joint interview, HR manager Charlotte, added: “It was the most perfect weekend, with perfect weather — clear skies, beautiful lighting and not too warm, which is always a bonus when you’re suited up.”
The couple, have been together for nine years and simply wrote down a list of people they’d be “devastated” not to see on their special day in order to pick their dream guest list for the special occasion.
Nathan, who had three best men — school friend Shea Davis, songwriter David Sneddon and producer Tobie Tripp — continued to explain: “We had a room full of people we’re comfortable with, so it was a really safe space and allowed us to relax.”
The evening before the wedding, Nathan and Charlotte joined 50 friends and family at a pub in nearby Malton, where the room was “filled with excitement” for the following day.
The pair are said to have exchanged traditional vows on the day. Nathan then presented a custom-made wedding ring which was an extension of Charlotte’s platinum and diamond Douglas & Blair engagement ring — onto his bride’s finger.
