Industries, commerce and food processing minister T.G. Bharath laid the foundation stone for renovation works at the Mahammadiya Waqf Complex in Kurnool on Monday. The works will be taken up at a cost of `14 lakh.
Bharath said necessary repairs and renovation would be undertaken to improve infrastructure and facilities at the complex. He said the complex had not received adequate attention between 2014 and 2024 and that a committee was constituted after he assumed office to focus on its development.
Bharath said committee members were working collectively for the development of the complex and stressed the need for all members to work as a team to implement development programmes effectively.
He said other requirements would be identified and taken up in phases along with the ongoing renovation works.
