Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday arrested G. Rambabu, a Revenue Inspector at the office of Tahsildar Office at Duggondi Mandal in Warangal, when he allegedly demanded and accepted the bribe amount of Rs. 10,000 from a complainant.
The bribe was demanded at the office of the Tahsildar, Duggondi Mandal to conduct the field enquiry, submit the field verification report to the Tahsildar Duggondi of Warangal District and to get the mutation of the complaint’s ancestral property.
The tainted bribe amount of Rs. 10,000 was recovered from the possession of the accused officer at his instance. Thus, the Accused Officer performed his duties improperly and dishonestly to obtain undue advantage, the ACB officials said. The details of complainant are withheld for security reasons.
