He was just 55 when he died after collapsing during what is now his final livestream. He suffered the on-camera tragedy while cooking at his home in Jellico, Tennessee, along with his mother, Frances Davis. The duo were preparing chicken salad when he felt sick and then turned lifeless. Following the heartbreaking incident, a medical examination occurred, which revealed the truth behind John’s demise, including clarification regarding the involvement of foul play.

Was John Davis’ death suspicious? What did his medical report say?

John Davis had already passed away when a call was made to medical services. According to reports, in the call, they were informed that a “male who had stopped breathing.” Following that, both police and emergency medical services rushed to John’s residence and pronounced him dead at the scene. After that, the body was sent for medical examination, following which the actual cause of his death was revealed. According to the report, John Davis was suffering from heart failure, kidney failure, high blood pressure and diabetes in addition to having obstructive sleep apnea.

Since John died in such an unexpected manner, there were some unverified speculations regarding the role of foul play in his passing. However, his medical report revealed that it wasn’t the case, and he passed away entirely from natural causes, i.e., cardiac arrest triggered and accompanied by various organ failures and other health issues. The county’s medical examiner revealed that there wasn’t anything suspicious regarding John Davis’ death and stated:

“I don’t believe there was anything suspicious about the situation.”

In his final Facebook livestream, John was preparing chicken salad with his mother, Frances Davis. After the June 10, 2026 post was deleted due to it containing visuals of John collapsing to death, the last post on Coffee Time With John and Momma became the penultimate video of the page. The post made on June 9, 2026, included the mother-son duo making a tomato parm dish, complete with ranch dressing for dessert. The video documented one of the last happy moments of John, before his untimely demise the following day.

John Davis’ last words to his mom before collapsing on camera

In the now-deleted livestream, John and his mother, Frances Davis, were in the middle of making chicken salad and discussing whether to put it in a sandwich. Things looked normal, and John was dicing up the chicken when his expression suddenly started to change. Mid-stream, he paused and quietly told his mother that he was experiencing some health trouble. His last words to his mother were:

“Oh momma, I don’t feel good.”

In the resurfaced clip, John was seen taking a long breath and leaning forward onto the table while Frances immediately got up to grab him a cola. Before she could turn back, John lifted his head, his eyes rolling to the back, and then fell off his chair, collapsing on the floor. Hearing the aged woman’s screams, neighbours reportedly rushed to the home, and 911 was called immediately. However, when the medical team arrived, John had no pulse and was reportedly turning purple.

Police in Jellico, Tennessee, reported that John Davis was pronounced dead at the scene after authorities reached his residence. It is suspected that John likely passed even before his body hit the floor. His death left his fans grief-stricken, who sent their condolences to the bereaved mother. They also criticised the online users who recorded the clip and circulated it online, citing a lack of sensitivity.
