Off Campus star, Belmont Cameli, did not get success easily. Recently, he looked back at his humble beginnings in the Hollywood film industry. The actor posted a video on X and recalled when he got his first job on TV. His first on-screen appearance was as a ‘Cute Guy’ in the TV series called Empire. However, sadly in the post production of the series, his voice was not used.

Belmont Cameli’s fan account had taken to X to share a clip of the actor being asked about his first role. He revealed getting the same when he was still living in Chicago. Belmont shared playing a cute guy on the series, Empire. He just had one line in the same, in a British pub, where he had to say, “Vodka Soda? Can I buy you another?” The fan account had captioned the video as:
“British Accent. Check out the clip where Belmont Cameli talks about his first job as an actor, which had an unexpected twist: his voice was dubbed over in the final cut. Watch till the end.”

The scene of Belmont appeared to be in a British pub-like setting, where he had to give a drink to the other person. However, he got the biggest shock of his life when he watched his role on TV and realised his voice was not used at all. In the interview, it was said that due to his accent, his voice was not used, and Belmont had said:
“And then when we watched it on TV, it was somebody else’s voice that, oh my, accent, was not great. It was my first job and I was like. Okay, yeah, I’m doing an accent like, this is gonna be great. They use your face. It’s my face. But when I watched it. I was like, that’s not me.”

Belmont Cameli’s first love was never acting
Earlier, in an interview with Backstage.com, Belmont shared that he wanted to do a lot of things while growing up. For the unversed, the actor, for the longest time, saw careers in architecture, marketing, actuarial science, and finance. He always foresaw careers in architecture, marketing, actuarial science, and finance. In his words:
“I always thought I’d make a great rock star if I weren’t such a lousy musician. I may have even briefly succumbed to the delusion that I should be a lawyer until I realised my appetite was solely for argument, and certainly not the law. I was in plays as a middle schooler, but I never considered that someday I might make a career out of anything artistic.”

Belmont Cameli had shared of having a tough time in college
Belmont Cameli had further stated that he had a hard time in college. When he left his second semester in business school, he was already engaging in peak risk-taking behaviour. Belmont had revealed that his decision to leave a good school in pursuit of a career, and more importantly, a craft that he knew about nothing outside of his casual lifelong cinephilia, never for an instant felt like a risk.

Belmont had stated that he did not even know how he wanted to be a star for the rest of his life. It was not something he had been ruminating on—it was just suddenly an undeniable truth in his mind and heart. Belmont agreed that he was instantly thrilled to be rid of school and authority, as he admitted to being a feverish student.
