On Tuesday evening, Danny Sprinkle and the Washington Huskies made the cut for their top target in the 2027 class: five-star guard Jalen Davis.
The 6-foot-4, 175-pound product of in-state Bremerton High School, who is ranked as the No. 13 overall prospect and No. 3 combo guard by 247Sports, narrowed down his 33 offers to a final four, listing the Huskies alongside Gonzaga, North Carolina, and UCLA.

Sprinkle’s staff was the first to host Davis on an official visit, doing so in September 2025 while the football team took on the then-No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes. Now, the coveted prospect will wrap up his visit slate with a trip to Gonzaga on November 7, after traveling to North Carolina on October 3 and UCLA on October 16.
“Davis is a skilled guard who differentiates himself with his feel for the game, processing ability, and understanding of how to be a high-volume scorer without having to dominate the basketball,” 247Sports’ Adam Finklestein wrote in his evaluation. “He put up over 23 points per game in the 3SSB season, on over 49 percent shooting from the floor, while playing largely off the ball. He moves without the ball extremely well. He’s a good cutter, knows how to use screens, and is still a very effective passer. There aren’t many players in high school basketball who can read a pin-down and then make a pocket pass if the big helps on his catch, but Davis is one of them. His ability to make quick reads and decisions is one of the most impressive parts of his game.”
“Still some untapped upside in his skill set. He’s an excellent lay-up maker, converting 63 percent of his attempts in the grassroots season, and (an) outstanding free-throw shooter who understands how to get easy points at the stripe (87 percent on 7.5 attempts per game). While he made just 30 percent of his threes and has a bit of a hitch in his release, he projects as a more consistent shooter at the next level when he’s surrounded by improved talent and isn’t the sole focus of opposing defenses on a nightly basis. In total, while he doesn’t create a ton of separation or have an iso-centric style, it’s the overlap of his offensive volume and efficiency that is so encouraging long-term, especially if you believe there’s untapped upside with his shooting. Davis also has a terrific nose for the basketball. He’s an excellent perimeter rebounder (5.7 per game), including on the offensive end of the floor (1.7 per game). Defensively, his intellect and commitment level make him very solid, while his hand-eye coordination is the basis for a whopping 3.3 steals per game.”

After the Huskies earned a commitment from another local prospect, four-star guard Jimmie Haywood, on Tuesday, adding Davis would give Sprinkle’s roster a major boost of young talent, along with the local enhancement Washington fans have been clamoring for.
