Manchester United made a disastrous start to their Champions League game against Atletico Madrid after going 1-0 down with less than a minute on the clock.

United have won just one of their last six games before this game, piling the pressure on manager Michael Carrick, and they showed all the same problems they have suffered with of late as they trailed early on.

Once again, the Red Devils were undone by a quick ball forward on the transition, with the pass evading a number of United defenders as Alex Baena raced onto it.

The Spaniard cut inside before teeing up Pablo Barrios, who side-footed the ball into the net via a touch off Leny Yoro, which saw the ball trickle over the line.
