Arsenal have stormed ahead against Fulham in their must-win Premier League clash.
The Gunners may have a Champions League semi-final second leg against Atletico Madrid to prepare for, but, first they needed to take care of business against the Cottagers as they continue to chase the crown.
It took less than 10 minutes for Mikel Arteta’s side to go ahead. Bukayo Saka, back in the starting XI for the first time since recovering from injury, sat Raul Jimenez down on the right-hand side of the box before delivering across goal for Viktor Gyokeres to tap home.
With the Gunners knowing the title could be decided by goal different, they surged forwards once more and had a second ruled out.
This time it was Ricardo Calafiori, with the Italian turning home but being denied by offside after a VAR check.
It did not matter though as Arsenal had their second just before half time. This time it was Saka’s turn to score, with Gyokeres turning provider.
The Swedish striker ran in behind before playing Saka through, with the England international hammering past former Arsenal man Bernd Leno in goal.
