Born from her childhood love for fashion and shaped by the influence of her mother, Mheiri is a brand rooted in sisterhood, self-expression, and evolving identity. What began as M Designs has transformed through multiple reinventions into its current form. For the founder, Wdeema Al Mheiri, her brand Mheiri is a reflection of confidence, softness, and individuality, where every piece carries a fragment of their personalities and a shared belief in staying authentic, consistent, and unapologetically themselves.

Wdeema brings her own aesthetic language to the table, creating collections that feel layered, expressive, and multidimensional. At its core, Mheiri is about confidence and the way personal style becomes a daily ritual of self-definition.

Let’s dive in and know how her journey began.

What was the exact moment or feeling that sparked the idea to start your own abaya label, Mheiri?

Mheiri was originally named M Designs, and it went through a series of rebrands until we eventually landed on this iteration. Our mother instilled in us a love for fashion since we were little girls. My sisters and I would design pieces by ourselves, and the people around us pushed us to officially launch our brand.

As a co-founder of Beauty Society Salon, what prompted the shift from beauty to fashion, and do you see them as connected?

We started off with M Designs and slowly built up the idea of opening a beauty salon. My sisters and I have always cared about how we feel, internally and externally, from getting our hair and nails done to wearing a chic abaya. This all is connected to who we really are and how we feel.

How would you describe your personal style, and in what ways does it directly shape what you design for Mheiri?

We’re 3 sisters with our own distinct style and touch; each one of us loves to experiment with her style, so in our collections you’ll see each one of our personalities shine through.

What do you want a woman to feel the second she puts on one of your colorful, floral summer abayas?

To feel confident, secure and chic

What has been your biggest unexpected challenge since launching the brand, and how did you push through it?

Honestly, restarting the brand is the most difficult step. Going through a series of trials and errors, fighting through feelings of demotivation, and getting right back to it has been by far the biggest challenge for me.

What is the single most important piece of advice you’d give to someone wanting to start their own abaya or modest fashion brand today?

The most important piece of advice I would give is to form your own identity as a brand, be yourself, and stay consistent.

What is your favorite piece you’ve designed so far, and why does it hold a special place for you?

The floral abayas are just very feminine and soft for the spring!

Who has been your biggest support system throughout this journey, and how do they show up for you?

My family and friends are my number one supporters and help motivate me to do what I love, and I’m very grateful for that.

What’s next for Mheiri? Any dream collaboration or new direction we should watch for?

I have a lot of ideas for Mheiri; hopefully we’ll be dropping a new collection soon. Keep an eye out!
