BERHAMPORE: Seven Bangladeshi infiltrators, who worked as migrant labourers in Tamil Nadu after entering India illegally, were arrested at Lalgola in Murshidabad of West Bengal.

They were caught by the cops from Boyra field adjacent to the India-Bangladesh border following a tip-off from the locals on Thursday night when they gathered at a place suspiciously.

Questioning them, the police came to know their nationality. All of them are permanent residents of Chapai Nawabganj district in Bangladesh.

They came back from Chennai recently and were trying to return to their homeland secretly by crossing the border. On Friday, the police sent them to Lalgola holding centre of the state government for their deportation to Bangladesh.
