A guest who spoke to the outlet explained that the situation quickly moved from a joyous celebration to a serious one.

For those who don’t know, Vic shared in 2021 that he had been diagnosed with a vestibular schwannoma. It is better known as an acoustic neuroma. Rather, they continue to monitor it through consistent MRI scans.
However, the condition has caused permanent hearing loss in his left ear. Vic shared more details about his diagnosis and explained that his hearing in that ear was completely gone and will never return. He also mentioned that the tumor had damaged the nerve responsible for carrying sound information to the brain.
In turn, Vic’s hearing loss affected some of his daily interests. He said that he had to give up his vinyl collection because he was unable to hear music in the same way. The 67-year-old also found it more difficult to enjoy his favorite activity of birdwatching because he couldn’t understand from which direction they were calling. Although the tumor is benign, the medical professionals have continued to monitor it.
