However, eight months after the harrowing incident, a rumour has been spreading like wildfire that Charlie’s widow, Erika, has found new love. A post on X (formerly Twitter) claimed that Erika has found a new boyfriend named Blake Wynn.

However, Erika herself dismissed the buzz surrounding her finding new love after her husband’s death. She mentioned that Charlie’s love will last her a lifetime. She clarified that just like others, Blake, who was Charlie’s friend, supported her as she navigated through her loss. She added that Blake is already engaged with his longtime girlfriend. Amid the buzz surrounding Erika’s new love interest, people became curious to know about her past relationships. Who is Erika Kirk’s rumoured boyfriend, JT Massey?

JT Massey, also known as Tyler Massey, grabbed the limelight after a 2014 audition tape featuring him and Erika Kirk resurfaced. For the unversed, Erika and Massey auditioned for the show, The Amazing Race, in 2014. In the resurfaced clip, Erika was seen complimenting her then-boyfriend, Massey. She said to him, “You look really handsome.” While adjusting his V-neck shirt for the camera, Erika said to Massey, “Sex sells, babe.”

According to a report by AOL, JT Massey is a former baseball player who played for the Colorado Rockies. Erika’s maiden name was Erika Frantzve. In the resurfaced audition clip, Erika introduced herself and said, “Hi, I’m Erika Frantzve. I’m 25 years old [and] from Scottsdale, Arizona, and I currently live in Venice, California.” Erika also explained why she and Massey were ideal contestants on the show despite only being together for five months.

During the audition for The Amazing Race, JT Massey shared a rare glimpse into his then-relationship with Erika Kirk. He mentioned that his and Erika’s first date was supposed to be on March 1, 2014, but Erika got confused and mixed up their date plans. Recalling the moment, Massey stated that while he was having dinner with his dad, he was thinking whether he had done anything wrong as Erika didn’t show up. However, when he called her, he got to know that she had just mixed up the date details. Finally, they went on a date on a rainy day. He was quoted as saying:

“So, March 1, 2014, we went on our first date. I’m sitting at dinner with my dad in Arizona, like, ‘Did I mess up the date or what?’ I stand up from the table to call her, and learned she had messed up the date. I picked her up; it was raining. I picked her up at her house, and later met her mom on the first night. Exciting stuff. It was great, easy conversation.”

Erika added that after that date, they had been together for all time. She shared that they enjoyed sitting in coffee shops for hours, eating at Chipotle and also going hiking. She mentioned that, whatever the situation, they managed to have fun. She was quoted as saying:

“We would close out coffee shops and Chipotles. We went hiking together, that was fun. We somehow find a way to make the best out of any situation that we’re in ‘cause we like to have fun. Life’s too short.”

Not much is known about Erika’s past relationship with Massey except the resurfaced audition clip. In fact, when they had split is still unknown. Erika finally moved on in life with the late American political activist, Charlie Kirk. After his tragic, untimely demise, Erika took over the reins of his Turning Point USA organisation. Currently, Charlie’s widow, Erika, is the CEO of Turning Point USA.
