The Chicago Bears are hopeful that they have put together a team that is capable of a long and deep run that takes them to the NFC North title and then on a successful jaunt in the postseason that could take them to the Super Bowl.
The belief is that they have a head coach in Ben Johnson who is capable and creative enough to give them a winning formula and a quarterback in Caleb Williams who can provide elite play at the most important position on the field. They have also recently acquired dominant defensive lineman who can serve as a leader for this team in Jeffery Simmons.

Former Titans general manager Ran Carthon had high praise for Simmons because of his size, strength, athletic ability and dominant attitude that he brings with him on an every-game basis.
Carthon spoke with NFL insider Jordan Schultz about the characteristics of the new Bears’ defensive lineman. “First of all, Jeff is a DAWG,” Carthon said. “He is a disciplined, a…… with grit. That’s who he is on the field. Off the field, he is a huge part of the community and gives his all to help others.”

Carthon spoke of Simmons’ willingness to help out a 16-year-old who is just getting started in football. He was asked to evaluate the young player and he ended up taking him under his wing and teaching him the finer points of the position.

Simmons had a huge impact during his first game with the Bears. He was credited with 6 tackles and 1 sack in Chicago’s 34-17 road victory over the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.
