Why Magen Fieramusca Killed Childhood Best Friend And Stole Her 2-Week-Old Baby After Breakup

The Netflix movie, Stolen Baby is based on the gruesome real-life murder of Heidi Broussard by her own bestfriend, Magen Fieramusca. The two had been best friends for 11 years and met at a church camp. However, things took an ugly turn when Magen Fieramusca planned a gruesome murder of her own best friend and kidnapped her baby to raise it as her own.

The case is back in headlines after the release of Stolen Baby: The Murder of Heidi Broussard streaming on Netflix. The film is based on the 209 murder which took place on December 12, 2019, as Heidi along with her two week old newborn baby disappeared in shocking turn of events. 

The investigators found Heidi’s body at her best friend, Magen’s car trunk parked outside her home. As per reports Heidi was strangled to death. Immidately police arrest ed Magen and found the two-week older daughter of Heidi alive at her home. It was reported that she had faked her pregnancy and had planned to stal Margot’s child. So, she could raise as her own. They immediately returned the baby to the family, and Magen was charged of kidnapping and tampering with a corpse and murder. She was found guilty of murder and currently she is serving a sentence of 55 years in prison for first-degree murder.

Heidi and Magen both were 33, in 2019, the latter claimed that she was also expecting a baby at the same time as her best friend, Heidi Broussard. The two were extremely close and Heidi never could have imagined that her own best friend would have planned the gruesome act. Heidi gave birth to her first child, a son in 2013. The two women thought of having birth on the same day. Magen was in the hospital room with Heidi when she gave birth to her daughter, Margot in November 2019.

Why Magen murdered her best friend and took hold of her baby?

On December 12, 2019, Heidi’s fiance, Shane Carey informed the police about the disappearance of his baby mama and baby from their Austin home. Police found her boyd after a week stuffed in a duffer bag. The further investigation revealed that Heidi fabricated the whole pregnancy and killed her friend to take her baby.

As per FBI behavioural analysts, Magen strongly wanted to embrace motherhood, and the maternal desigre forced her to take the drastic step. It was drived out of maternal instinct. Forensic psychiatrist Dr. Sanjay Adhia told Houston Chronicle that there are women who fabricate the pregnancy when they get insecure in a relationship and believe that a baby might secure their relationship. 

Magen’s ex-bofyriend, Christopher Green revealed that she had told him about her pregnancy when he ended their relationship in March 2019. However, the two parted ways, Magen continued to live in his home during the whole phase. He revealed that he saw Magen’s belly growing but never saw her bare bump. Many investigators called it pathalogical envy. 

Magen must have been envious of her best friend having it all figured out, while her life fell apart. So, she made the vile plan. Magen registered her baby’s birth when Heidi went missing, and it proves that she had no value for human emotions and her own instinct to have a child made her execute the crime.
