A while ago, a fan page of legendary cricketer, MS Dhoni took to their X (formerly Twitter) handle to share a video of him coming out of the Hyderabad airport. The now-viral video also featured a sea of fans gathered at the airport, who were going crazy to see their cricket idol. It is worth noting that MS Dhoni was accompanied by his wife, Sakshi and their little angel.
According to the video clip, it can clearly be said that MS Dhoni might have reached Hyderabad to play the upcoming IPL match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), which will take place on April 18, 2026, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. As soon as the video clip went viral, one fan commented, “Dhoni sahab is traveling to Hyderabad with the CSK team.” Another fan penned, “Main man is back.” A third user wrote, “Madness.” A fourth user shared, “Biggest scam of IPL – Dhoni… he’s coming… he’s playing lol.” A user also shared, “His single glimpse lit up the entire timeline.”

A while ago, MS Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi took to her Instagram Stories to confirm that the legendary cricketer has reached Hyderabad and is all set for the upcoming IPL match. For those who missed it, she shared two stories. In the first one, she was sitting in a bus and her video featured a huge crowd of fans running towards another bus, which reportedly had all the IPL team players. Later, Sakshi shared a similar story again; however, this time, she mentioned her location.
Why didn’t MS Dhoni play the previous IPL matches?
For those who do not know, IPL 2026 began at the end of March 2026; however, the star player, MS Dhoni has been missing since the very first match. While his fans have been eagerly waiting for him, MS Dhoni reportedly got injured while practising. If reports are believed to be true, Dhoni suffered a calf strain, due to which he stepped away for a while and decided to return only after he had fully recovered. Initially reports had claimed that Dhoni would be missing for nearly 2 weeks. Now that the wicketkeeper has been spotted at Hyderabad, fans are assuming that he might play the next match. However, it is worth mentioning that MS Dhoni has still not opened up about his return.
